Within the village there is a well stocked mini supermarket, a range of good restaurants and cafés, as well as a post office and ATM machine.
Salir do Porto is home to one of the highest sand dunes in Europe and this, combined with stunning coastal walks and beach boardwalks and a modern lido.

São Martinho do Porto

São Martinho do Porto is a short five-minute drive or gentle walk from Salir do Porto. The main town nestles around the bay, where you’ll find opportunities to swim, sail, relax on the beach or to watch the sunset with a glass of local wine.
A wide range of independent shops and restaurants line the promenade offering everything from traditional Portuguese cuisine to international dishes, glass of chilled wine, coffee or traditional pastries.
The old town of São Martinho do Porto sits commandingly above the bay and is lined with a labyrinth of narrow Portuguese calçada streets and beautiful old buildings, many of which have been restored.
There are some lovely little shops selling a range of locale traditional artisan items.

Foz do Arelho

Foz do Arelho is one of the most popular holiday destinations on the Silver Coast of Portugal within 10-minute drive of the property.
The centre of the village is a blend of old and new, with beautifully renovated traditional villas and homes, mingled with modern construction.
The natural point where the impressive calm lagoon meets the roar of the Atlantic Ocean is one of the main reasons Foz do Arelho continues to attract many visitors. There are an abundance of walkways stretching round the lagoon with nature reserves, wildlife lookouts and surf schools offering a range of water sports.

Caldas da Rainha

The larger town of Caldas da Rainha is located approximately a 10-minute drive from the property.
It is a large thriving, cultural, historical and beautiful town with a stunning park and a range of day to day amenities ranging from healthcare, shops and banks etc. The main market square is well known for its daily farmers market selling local produce of fruit, flowers and artisan products.
Caldas da Rainha is less than an one-hour drive from the Capital City of Lisbon and also offers a frequent and efficient coach service to Lisbon and Porto on a daily basis.


World-famous Nazaré is well known for its giant waves and attracts millions of visitors year round along with the the worlds best surfers competing to surf gigantic waves!
Originally a fishing village, Nazaré has now grown into a vibrant tourist attraction along with a funicular and marina.
Nazaré is approximately 15-minute drive.
