Main Floor
The main entrance opens into a double-height atrium with access to the main floor through a part-glazed front door. You enter a fully tiled open-plan L-shaped living and kitchen area through the door. The lounge enjoys heating from a log burner when needed on cooler evenings and during the winter season.
Two sets of double windows in the living area provide natural light into the lounge and offer spectacular views of open countryside extending as far as the distant Caramulo mountains.
The kitchen also has double windows offering the same fantastic rural views and double patio doors that open onto the terrace overlooking the properties adjoining land and parking.
The double bedroom has a porcelain tiled floor with a vinyl floating floor over the dressing and wardrobe area. A large oscillatory window that looks out over the garden area and rural views beyond. Waking up in the morning and opening the window to listen to many birds singing is very special.
The bathroom and laundry area is a spacious and functional space. The bathroom features a full-sized bath with a mixer tap, a vanity unit with a sink and mirror, and a large glass corner shower cubicle. The laundry area is plumbed, ready for a washing machine, and the whole room is tiled (wall and floor tiles). Two frosted windows provide natural light and ventilation.
Upper Floor
The top floor or loft area has independent access by way of the covered atrium. This area makes a nice resting or eating place and leads into the top room that is currently unfurnished and is used as an office. This level has vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The roof is well insulated, allowing it to be used in both summer and winter. There is a double-glazed window looking out over the open countryside with outstanding views extending to the mountains in the distance.
This area can continue to be used as an office or converted into a living space. A bathroom and shower room are there, ready to accept the wc, sink and shower.
Additionally, there are three large storage areas.
Lower Floor
The lower apartment has an independent entrance and living area.
The entrance door leads to a tiled open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with an original wood stove. The kitchen has base units with a granite work surface that incorporates a double stainless-steel sink with tap and drainer.
There are two double windows that provide light, as well as the part glazed entrance door. The lovely granite walls are still evident.
This area leads off to a double bedroom and a bathroom. The bedroom has two sets of double windows, and you have lovely rural views again. Tiled floors, attractive granite walls, and the fact that it’s built on a rock provide a unique space.
The bathroom has a sink set into a vanity unit, a w.c., and a shower unit. The floors are tiled, and a glass block wall to the bathroom with a sliding door.
Outside
The house sits on a lot of 610m2, with outside terraces and a BBQ area. The lot also provides hard-standing parking for several cars and a motorhome if need be.
The house is in fact built onto the bedrock, and attractive steps lead up this rock from this ground level up to the first-floor patio and further on up to the pump and filtration room. Here water is pumped into the house from the stream that runs across the easter edge of the property.
After the patio area, there are newly planted trees and very fertile soil to cultivate vegetables or, indeed, extend the garden area. The stream provides water for irrigation and the house, and here is an ideal secluded spot for summer picnics.
Location
A short walk to the next village you can enjoy a well maintained open air swimming pool to cool you off in the summer months. The village also has a popular cafe/bar.

There are many shops, restaurants, a coach station, health centre, dentists, pharmacies, and all other amenities you would expect from a good-sized town.
