A bank of cupboards at the near end of the kitchen have part glazed doors that provides display cabinetry as well as additional storage. The main town of Caldas da Rainha is a 15 minute drive away. Caldas is a historic spa town, where you can find all amenities. There is a hospital, schools and the council for the municipality. The town also has a variety of restaurants (from various cuisines), shops, supermarkets and a very popular farmers’ market, where you can find fresh vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
Caldas is famous for its ceramic industry, one of the most characteristic ceramic styles in Portugal. Caldas also has a wonderful park, with a large lake, where you can see many different birds. The park houses different activities and events throughout the year.
